[ things were a lot simpler when they were just two teenagers competing over who was the best at what. julian was effortlessly charming, infuriatingly perfect and hard to hate no matter how shitty he could be to you.
the competing was always the fun part. that was what josh liked. being pushed to be his very best self any time julian was challenging him to something. it made him feel alive, and even now, knowing full well julian's a cheater - he puts in the effort to keep his healing factor down so he can give a fair, non-powered race. ]
